We visited Ballard today, downtown Seattle. These locks are very active with boats of all sizes moving from one type of water into fresh water, maybe brackish water?

It’s always fun to find the local favorites. This is one in our neighborhood “go to” chicken favorite. Total take out place, and on the recommended list of close by locations to eat.

Don’t you just love the west coast. This UFO is ready for the “up take”. The driver was our age and sported a sign on the back of his VW van, “Dead Head Way”. I bet a conversation with him would have been interesting.

No city is without its street buskers, however this one was my favorite. He didn’t look Scottish, but he sounded Scottish.

This is Lake Washington, just outside of the city. With an auto road around it of 51 miles, this is a large lake. We are having our ham, goat cheese and sliced pair roll-ups that Angie introduced us to. A lunch that turned into dinner.
