This is a redwood that measured 26 ft across and was cut with a 28ft hand saw. This cookhouse pic was among many interesting photos found in this restaurant. This place was the source of 3 meals a day for these tough and rough loggers.

Breakfast at Samoa Cookhouse, an old cookhouse for the lumber crews in the early 1900s. Sarah Bo met us and treated us. What a delightful lady. She is Aunt Faye’s SIL who lives here.
